Jack’s Closet is set up as a free retail store where families can shop in a welcoming environment. All new or gently used items are hung and sorted by size. Donations come from church and community members.
Jack’s Closet supplies foster and kinship care children with a week’s supply of outfits, one jacket or winter coat with hats and gloves, two pairs of shoes (if available), underwear or diapers or pull-ups, socks, pajamas, and baby supplies as needed.
We stock sizes preemie/newborn to youth sizes 18-20. Toddler and Children shoe sizes 2-13 as well as youth sizes Y1 – Y7. No adult clothing or shoes are in stock.
Children have a chance to shop for their own clothes in our well-stocked closet. Foster and kinship parents can rest easier knowing their children have enough quality clothing that lets them fit in with their peers.
Each child coming to Jack’s Closet receives a “Jack’s Sack” on their first visit. These colorful handmade string backpacks are stuffed with age-appropriate personal items and a toy, game or craft.
